Next was 1975's "The Apple Dumpling Gang," in which he starred with Don Knotts, among others (later Conway appeared in the 1979 sequel) "Gus," also with Knotts, in which a mule moves from team mascot to team member "The Shaggy D.A.," with Dean Jones ( Variety said: "Conway is particularly droll as a cloddish ice-cream salesman") and "The Billion Dollar Hobo." His run of Disney-produced family comedies began with 1973's "The World's Greatest Athlete," in which he played the assistant to a desperate college coach (John Amos) who finds a new player in Africa - a Tarzan sort played by Jan Michael Vincent. We go to a flashback with Harvey as a millionaire who marries and leaves her, he is now married to Vicki. Carol is the woman on death row and Tim is a priest. There is a very funny spoof of the movie Madame X. ![]() Harvey is a short tempered billboard hanger and Tim his apprentice, who is afraid of heights. Ray Charles sings his current single of Look What They Done To My Song Ma, which went to #65. Tim plays a buddy who doesn't notice she is a girl. Harvey and Vicki are a couple with tomboy daughter Carol.
